We made an internal version of Ninite that shows the download rate and size but we thought it looked busy and distracting.
We recommend people just start a Ninite installer and then go do something else for a while. Even if we did show download rates, there's nothing users could do to improve or change them. It's likely the only outcome would be people worrying that their connection wasn't fast enough.
